Coat of Arms

The Franciscan Coat of Arms

The Franciscan Coat of Arms shows the crossed arms of Christ and Saint Francis.  The wound of the nail is shown in the hands of Jesus and Francis.  Above this is the cross, resembling the one that Jesus had to carry.

The dove is symbolic of the Holy Spirit.  The Franciscan Coat of Arms is representing the devotion of the Order to Perpetual Adoration.
